Games are getting worse.

Games have gotten worse.
Dear friends, I am writing this post just to understand whether this is true or not. For example, I don’t feel as much joy playing, for example, Call of Duty (the latest parts) as I enjoyed playing Chrono Cross or Diablo (many more examples can be given). I decided to look into this and thought: 1) Perhaps you won’t surprise us anymore and we’ll excuse the expression “getting greedy”. 2) Maybe the spirit of the games of the past two decades has disappeared and graphics have come to the fore? 3) Or maybe the excitement that was there at a time when games were just beginning to enter our lives has disappeared?

Be that as it may, the games have become worse and more boring, the graphics are not particularly pleasing if it’s not interesting to play.Of course, some modern games are also masterpieces, but unfortunately there are only a few of them, and even then they are on consoles (Heavy Rain, Uncharted).Indeed, recently several games in series have been released that were much better (Gothic, Call of Duty, Fallout). And no matter how hard the developers try, the games, in my opinion, have survived their peak of glory and will not be better than in 1998-2007.

I’m just curious if this is really true? Or maybe I’m wrong? Of course it’s everyone’s business! I’ll be happy to hear your opinion!

I don’t think so. It’s just that now the emphasis is on special effects and BDUSH!-factor (as Code). There are games like Meat Boy. There are few of them, but they exist.

I agree that games like a local kid are very interesting and so replayable that they keep the player for many more hours than the same CoD:BO. And as for the special effects, you’ll agree that the games don’t drag you down with graphics. It can, of course, drag you in with its beauty, but not for long; unfortunately, you get used to the graphics VERY quickly.

Well first of all, to each his own.

2.Basically, many games are engaged in self-copying www.44aces-casino-online.co.uk and plagiarism.
3.Games are also killed by excessive casualness and incredible ease..
4.Casuality is only needed on consoles where you can’t play without it.
5.Graphics have been graphics for how many years now?. Game developers have always strived for graphical breakthroughs… both now and 10-12 years ago.
6.An absolutely insane publisher who says that everything should be cut out (like in F.E.A.R)
7.Still, the game must be released on time and it doesn’t matter in what condition it will be released. After all, everything can later be “patched” with patches (striking examples are all Stalkers and especially CHN and BO… and at the same time Fallout New Vegas (but it’s impossible not to forgive him for this))
8.The very frequent weakness of developers and publishers in terms of protection against piracy very often ruins a bunch of projects (AC2 for example)
9.The developers believe that the public should be surprised… Of course it should, but the main thing is that it should be of high quality.
10.Probably someone got too greedy in terms of gaming..

And anyway… There are a lot of reasons! And yes… This is my more than subjective IMHO.

There are no such.

According to the subject.
There is more shit, but there are still good games. Sometimes you just can’t tell through the shit.

*yawns*
Not tired of whining yet? They used to fap for graphics and graphics as much as they do now. The first cardboard, but in full 3D, fighting games caused quite a boom. Very sickly.
This is a race.
And two is something that if they release it, it means we eat it ourselves.
Three – you need to be able to filter this. I doubt that numerous Robocops, Terminators and many, many, many other games had hellish plots, impeccable production and versatile gameplay.

Don’t be children, people.
And the specialist for oldfags now is the indie industry and *self-pear.Maud.on* RETROZOR! *sampler.Maud.off*

something new is always a joy, then it gets boring and gradually gets boring, and after GTA 4 I don’t want to look at San Andres (

Well, for example, I enjoy playing Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, Mirror’s Edge, Oblivion. For me these games are masterpieces. And don’t argue, this is IMHO.

SampLe, it’s very simple. Gone is the golden era when digital entertainment could bring us something truly new and intriguing. When, with bated breath, we inserted the treasured disc into the drive, preparing to plunge into a storm of colors and impressions never seen before.
The gaming industry is now in a kind of half-day standstill, which we see every day, which can no longer surprise us with anything (figuratively speaking). Saturation, age, time. We are growing, priorities and interests inevitably change. We remember where it all began, and as a result, in today’s games we pay more and more attention to cliches, stupidity, illogicality, “ordinariness” wrapped in a high-tech shell, thereby losing the keys to the treasured door to the world of Peter Pan.
(IMHO)
A little chaotic, but I hope you understand me ^_^

Agree. I meant that a lot has already happened and it’s very difficult for developers to come up with new ideas. All the new tricks were just invented before and were just tricks, but now it’s a complete repetition, it was all. The same MP does not take advantage of its newness, but on the contrary – its oldness. This is a revival of what happened before, during the times of Sega and Dandy.

I don’t argue! But graphics are still not the main thing in this kind of project, even if the graphics are like Titan Quest, EVERYONE will play (well, who has ever played Diablo 1-2)
.

You really get used to the graphics very quickly. And looking at the picture that yesterday caused shock, delight and awe, you no longer feel any of that today.
